The calm street is located in the quarter of Moabit which belongs to Berlin-Mitte.
Moabit is a kind of "island". Due to its geographical location the Moabit citizens are very often accompanied by nice watersides from the river Spree and several channels (Berlin-Spandauer Schifffahrtskanal, Westhafenkanal and Charlottenburger Verbindungskanal). More than 25 bridges connect Moabit with the bordering districts. The district can be considered as very central. At the border to Moabit and in Moabit one finds cultural, political and structural highlights such as the chancellery, the Ministry of the Interior and the new Central Station of Berlin.
