Ultimate Kreuzberg: Classic meets Modern

The restoration of Riehmers Hofgarten proves that it is possible to bring a beautiful residential monument from 1891 into the present day without disturbing the character and atmosphere of the location, the property and its history. Although attention has been paid to every original detail and, wherever possible, restored with respect for the original statement, the flats and ensemble do not look for a moment out of time. The original versions were preserved as far as possible, layers of paint were removed, missing parts were filled with the same materials, and in some cases entire stucco ceilings were reconstructed according to the old model.

The project offered by us in partnership with the developer in one of the most beautiful locations in Kreuzberg offers advantages that can hardly be surpassed by any other location in Berlin today. The green, central, well-connected location will be one of the clear best locations in Berlin in just a few years. For decades, the Carré literally lay dormant. During the Wall era, the East/West border ran not far from Riehmers Hofgarten. Potsdamer Platz was an inner-city wasteland, the area at Gleisdreieck was deserted and Großbeerenstraße had degenerated into a peripheral location. Thirty years later, this is a place of pure new beginnings. A large, lively and popular park has sprung up in the immediate vicinity. Potsdamer Platz is pulsating with business life and Kreuzberg is developing into a top international location.
